UNBRICK MY LINK 2750U AFTER A BAD FIRMWARE FLASH

Hi, last week my router (DSL-2750U) bricked because i had downgrade that router from TH1.01 to SE1.00.. So today i gonna show you all how to unbrick your dlink dsl-2750u if you have made a same mistake with me..

First and most important part,make sure your router BRICKED..
Below is the picture of my bricked router: (power LED dimmer than usual)

Two: Made a simple SERIAL CABLE from NOKIA DKU5 or CA42 cable like this: Photobucket
*remember, we only need 3 wire.. GND, RX and TX..

Three: Connect all 3 wire that we made from above picture to the router just like this: Photobucket

Four: Install Prolific driver <in here> then Connect rj45 cable to the LAN port and computer,switch on plug then connect Power cable to the router (switch off the switch at router) and connect your DIY SEIAL CABLE to the computer..

    please help, when i connect usb to serial adaptor all i get is garbage on Putty session screen. Please help if possible?

    Hi Zul,
    Could you please highlight the connected wires in router motherboard ?
    It's hard to see them.

      so sorry.. forgot it.. what i know is, 2nd pin is ground, 3rd is rx (white) and 4th (blue) is tx..

      if u get unknown message on putty, just change rx and tx wire..

    Hello, I bricked my router (2750u) trying to upload incompatible firmware, it doesn't power on. No led is lit. So do you think this process will work ?

    i tried reset while powering on, but it doesn't connect to pc in lan port. So its not powering up anyhow.

      Actually It is the first day of the router. So i'v not opened the case of router as it'll void the warranty :( Also i dont have serial cable device. What is your router's version ? My one is C1.

      ooo... first day.. btw, why dont you send it back to the warranty? cant remember what is my version :).. this my last year project, now i've change my router..

      Ha ha, i was insane, flashed a T1 version of firmware and killed it. Yeah i'll send it to warranty now. But your guide looks excellent, i'll definitely try this serial interface with some of my old routers :)
